The Flaming Lips will be at the Salt Shed on August 16th and so will I. Now the countdown has begun! I’m also looking forward to seeing Modest Mouse too, but the Lips are the reason I’m dropping some Benjamins on a flight and hotel to get my ass to Chi-town for the show. I hope to claim a spot near the front and I plan to come home with more confetti.
The first night of the American tour is Friday and I’m more than curious to see what the set list will be. Some of my favorite songs to hear live are Spoonful Weighs a Ton, What is the Light, Pompeii am Götterdämmerung, and Gold in the Mountain of their Minds. And Fight Test and Yoshimi, of course. Giant, inflatable pink robots can never get old.
