I’m celebrating the wild growth of my native plant garden and its triumph over the invasive honeysuckle that had previously kept anything else from growing there. In 2023 my daughter chainsawed down the trees and replaced them with pollinators like milkweed and goldenrod.
Gardening with native plants was a carefree process—we stuck them in the ground and watered them —no fertilizer, soil treatments or chemicals. And now a year later I have autumnal blooms and bees! Pretty dang cosmic! Cue up Track 4 from “At War with the Mystics”!
