It comes as no surprise that of course the Flaming Lips were my top artist for 2024! I was in the top 0.1% of listeners having listened for 1,028 minutes. HOWEVER, those numbers only capture my Spotify rotations. I do a lot of my listening via other means –YouTube videos, especially live concert footage–and I listened to hours on CD in my car. So…..in actuality, the amount of time I spent spinning the Lips is incalculable and unknowable. But it was definitely a lot! On to 2025!
